
These terms and conditions outline the agreement between Mira Plumbing and Heating ("The Company") and the customer ("The Customer") regarding the provision of plumbing and heating services. Below are the key points:
Company’s Rights:
- The Company may accept or refuse any job at its discretion.
- Work will be carried out by a Red Seal Endorsed Plumber.
Charges:
- Charges include materials (capped at 20% above trade cost) and hourly labor, including time spent procuring materials.
- Written estimates provided by the Company may increase by up to 20% based on additional work or price changes in materials.
- Credit card payments are subject to a 3% surcharge if the amount exceeds $750.
Payment Terms:
Payment is due immediately upon completion, with late payments incurring monthly interest. A 30% deposit may be required upfront.
Timing and Liability:
The Company will strive to meet agreed-upon dates and times but is not liable for delays or non-attendance.
Guarantee:
We provide a 12-month (conditions apply) guarantee on our labor and the duration of the manufacturer's guarantee for all parts or equipment supplied by us. If you are not satisfied with our work, you must contact us in writing within 1 month of completion so that we can inspect the work and carry out necessary remedial work at our expense. If a component or part needs to be replaced within its guarantee period, we reserve the right to charge for the time spent replacing the part. If a leak occurs 30 days after the job and the fitting/part has been correctly installed, we will repair it but will not be held responsible for any damage unless it is due to faulty installation of the fitting.
Customer Responsibilities:
The Customer must fully disclose if they are acting on behalf of a third party and will be responsible for managing hazardous situations and disposal of hazardous materials in strict accordance with applicable regulations and safety guidelines.
Goods Ownership:
Title of goods remains with the Company until full payment is received. The Company may repossess goods if necessary.
Limitations of Liability:
- The Company is not liable for issues arising from previously recommended but declined work or for older installations.
- Repairs focus on the most obvious fault, and additional charges apply for other issues.
Miscellaneous:
The Company shall not be held liable for any inconvenience resulting from typical construction-related activities, including dust and noise, provided that all reasonable efforts are made to control these effects. In accordance with local regulations, the Company will implement practical dust control measures but assumes no liability for any residual dust or debris. The Customer is responsible for protecting personal belongings and sensitive areas.
